I was raised in Delaware, Ohio and graduated from R.B. Hayes High School in 1979. During breaks from school I worked with some friends for a local contractor completing various improvements on homes and many Ohio Wesleyan University buildings(as well as baling hay and cleaning the cow barn). I learned the basics like take responsibility for your actions and do things right the first time along with the notion that work is something you can enjoy.
I attended Wittenberg University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. During college breaks I continued to work in construction. I moved to Northern California after graduation and found an opportunity with a General Contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was hired as a laborer/apprentice. I worked my way up through the roles of Carpenter, Lead Carpenter and Project Manager over a period of 12 years, with the same company. I received a hands on education in all aspects of residential construction, from foundations to finish carpentry. I earned many opportunities over the years, including estimating and selling the projects.
Feeling the pull of my Midwestern roots and seeing a strong home building market I returned with my family to Central Ohio. I was fortunate to be hired by one of the most respected and awarded Remodeling Contractors in the area. I worked to help grow and develop this Company for more than 10 years. I was involved in all of its projects, including numerous award winners. I was able to continue my personal development from Project Manager to Production Manager, Estimator and Leader.
I decided to start my own company as the best way to further my own growth. It is the best way to use all of my skills and experience to help you enjoy and develop your home, as well as your investment in it.
